Coming Home to Myself — A Journey Through Yoga
Hi, I'm Jen
I still remember the first time I stepped onto a yoga mat. A friend dragged me to a free class after a sleepless festival weekend, and I arrived tired, sceptical, and full of assumptions—mostly involving pretzel poses and headstands.
But the moment I tuned into my breath and dropped out of my busy mind, something shifted. It felt like coming home after a very long time.
Yoga became my path back to myself. Within weeks, I stopped smoking without effort. Living with lupus, I found yoga helped me sense how my body was doing—guiding gentle changes that eased my symptoms and improved my quality of life.
I grew stronger, not just physically but mentally. I learned to notice the early signs of anxiety and depression, and respond with compassion before they took hold. Life still brings challenges, but I now meet them with more balance and grace

During lockdown on the island of Corfu, I taught thousands of online yoga classes. That time tested all of us, and yoga helped me adapt to change with resilience and gratitude.
Later, through a high-risk pregnancy and the early years of single motherhood, my practice shifted. I did less yoga on the mat—but more in life. That quiet strength, that deep breath in the chaos, became my most powerful practice.
Yoga hasn’t fixed everything. But it reminded me who I am beneath the noise of expectation. Whether your experience is profound or simply peaceful, yoga offers tools to move, breathe, relax, and reconnect.
